Ok Antonio and I are arguing car facts. I say that a Z with intake, cat-back exhaust, and ECU (with only boost jets) your basic stage 3 car can not trap 113/114mph. Sure it can be done with race gas, drag radials, and advanced timing. But I have yet to see it be done with street tires, pump fuel, 17psi, and the stock TT rear. Member craigb i believe with street tires ran a amazing 12.3 or 12.4. He had race gas to do this but that still is good for what your qualifications are looking for. Our main argument was over the EVO and the 03/04 SVT Cobra. I said that he could have saved all of his money that he put into the Z (2 motors, 2 turbos, 2 different injector types, 2 fascias and the list goes on). Then you also have the S4 that he bought. If you take all fo that money and add it up it's a large sum. And the evo looks like a POS, sorry z wins in looks and i would dump money into it over that anyday. Cobra is nice but still a mustang. I said that he could have had a newer car, and mod it for cheaper. I said that the Evo's coming out of TurboTrix have a 3 inch turbo back exhaust, intake, AEM EMS, boost controller, clutch and are pulling 11.80's, 11.90's, 12.0's with pump fuel at 25psi. So you are comparing a new car with bigger injectors and awd to a 15 year old car. However, ou still can buy a Z cheaper then the evo goto stage 3 and get injectors and run those times with a pair of slicks on less boost. I also said that 03/04 cobras with headers, x-pipe, catback, intake, pulley are netting 475rwhp and 500rwtq granted they are heavy pigs. But with this set-up and drag radials they are netting low 12's high 11's at 117-120mph.
Oh so now this car can use drag radials but the Z couldn't in your above argument to achieve the goal you said it couldnt. See arnels list this year? They are running all low 12's high 11's for half the price of a cobra. I am not saying that the EVO or the 03/04 Cobra is a better or classier car then the Z, so don't get this post confused. I am arguing that both cars respond better to mods, and are cheaper to mod, and since they are newer are IMO more reliable. Thats right they aren't. Cheaper to mod maybe, cost effective in the long run to what a Stage 5 Z costs are most likely not. And so far in the 3 years of owning the z I have not one problem has arisen even after taken it to the track. To each their own however.
Magnum (9:12:05 PM): you think too negative, you need to sleep in your z when u get back to canada ZEngineer (9:12:20 PM): dude, I've popped her cherry before
